Elijah (1 Kings 19:1-7)..

I read, Elijah (1 Kings 19:1-7)... Elijah is in crisis and wants to terminate both his prophetic ministry and his life. In an act of sheer grace God intervenes, provides the prophet with life-giving food and water. This story calls out to me and others , who battle with those demons, this may be the way to find new energy, new vision, and a new sense of purpose.

The poor and needy seek water, and there is none; the poor in spirit hunger and thirst after righteousness.Isaiah 41:17 We try to seeks for satisfaction, but soon find despairs of finding it in the world. We are broken vessels, that can not hold any water; Our sorrows makes us thirsty; It is here we find promise that, one way or other, all our grievances shall be redressed and they shall be made easy by the Lord.

Elijah means God is God and that is a great name . No matter what it is, God is God. If you do not see Him solve it today, it does not change who He is, He is still God and understands the situation far better than we do. The disciples asked Jesus master don’t you care that we perish, how will Jesus allow this to happen (that is normal when thing get difficult “how will Jesus allow this to happen”). It is at these times..its very difficult to trust God, but I want to encourage everyone that no matter what God is God.
Amen Amen!!

We rely on everything else but God ..for example, I'm reminded of the prophet Elijah’s experience. During his prophetic ministry, he learned to trust God to meet his daily needs. Shortly after Elijah pronounced God’s judgment of a drought in Israel, God sent him to a deserted place, where He used the ravens to bring Elijah his daily meals and refresh him with water from the brook (1 Kings 17:1–4). But a drought occurred. The brook shrank to a tiny stream, and slowly became a mere trickle. It was only when the brook had dried up that God said: “Go at once to Zarephath . . . . I have directed a widow there to supply you with food” (v. 9). Zarephath was in Phoenicia, whose inhabitants were enemies of the Israelites. Would anyone offer Elijah shelter? And would a poor widow have food to share? Most of us would rather God provided in abundance long before our resources were depleted rather than just enough for each day. But our loving Father whispers, Trust Me...

In difficult times, when it seems all hope is lost, I try not to assess my circumstances from a worldly perspective. I try not to ask, “What am I going to do?” Rather, in a spirit of faith, I simply say, “Lord, what are You going to do?” Remembering, He tells us to cast all of our cares upon Him because He cares for us (1 Pet. 5:7).

Well... it's the first of the month again, everything is due. We all, have daily necessities, and because they come so frequently, we are apt to fear. The kitchen cabinet is empty, there is no money in our account. We have reached that midnight hour and we have come to the end of ourselves. Rest assured that, according to the Word of God, this shall not be the case. Each day, though it bring its trouble,it shall also bring its help. You see in that midnight hour is when God can do his work, we have come to the end of ourselves and we have nothing left but faith. And God promises, when we have come to that point, we shall never know a real lack.--
"The barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah."

Jezebel, sent a message to Elijah: “You killed my prophets. Now I’m going to kill you! I pray that the gods will punish me even more severely if I don’t do it by this time tomorrow.”-1 Kings 19 verse 2. A negative word can get in our spirit and send use in a tailspin Then we stop believing God's promises, I can't believe Elijah, with God he had great victories, defeating the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel. Fire had descended from heaven, the people of Israel acknowledged the Lord, and the false prophets were all put to death, with one sentence Elijah is now on the run.In my thinking.. Jezebel, only sent this message to Elujah, merely to frighten him and get him out of the way. for the present, that he might not carry on what he had begun. We now live in a social media society, were cyber-bulling is the normal reaction. At one point Elijah was so discouraged that he desired to die: “And he asked that he might die, saying, ‘It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers’” ( 1 Kings verse 4).

I believe the hardest thing for all of us is to separate the flesh form the soul. We are so conditioned to supply the human body with what it needs, we neglect the spiritual side of our being. That's why it's unbearable to have anything harmful, even death, happening to us or anyone. We spend all our lives preparing for our fleshly needs, but have little preparation for our internal soul.
