“Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” Genesis 28:16

I have been going through a season of rejection, and as you know in our human reaction we want to fight in our own strength. During this time the Lord has been speaking to me about Genesis 28 verse 16, When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”  When we are going through something, we don't think the Lord is right there with us, our first defence is to fight for ourselves. Jacob's sleep must have been so sweet, the Lord presences is with him in the home in the street in the field, every second of the day whether eyes closed or open. I think about the person who battles some kind of addiction, it takes every second of the day to battle the will to not to cave into that addiction. During the course of the day any trigger can fall back to our own self ability. When Jacob said and felt  "I knew it not", he did not think or expect God to meet him in a place were God would guild Jacob every step in every way.

Boy ..I needed strength today, I found Daniel 10:10 ”The hand that touched him set him at first upon his knees and the palms of his hands.”I have found my breathing helps me meditate on God's word, especially with a phase word I use JESUS. When my mind starts to wonder, I say JESUS and my thoughts come back to HIM. God spoke to me that strength and comfort commonly come by degrees to those that have been long cast down and disquieted; we are first helped up a little, and then more. After two days HE will revive us, and then the third day HE will raise us up. And we must not despise the day of small things, but be thankful for the beginnings of mercy. Afterwards we are helped up. we will get the strength. We have to overcome our own timidity and take the step, and God will give us life and we will get nourishment. Spending ourselves out physically, we become exhausted; lets spend our-self spiritually, and we will get more strength. God never gives strength for tomorrow, or for the next hour, but only for the hard-time of the minute.
Sure, none of us want to go through difficult times. If it were up to us, we would probably all be content with a comfy sofa. We were created to soar, not to crawl. We were meant to be victors, not victims. We have that water-walking, mountain-moving power within us, so why on earth would we ever be content to just be average?
His strength is only activated when we quit cowering in the corner and take a step forward. And as soon as we take that step, His strength meets us right where we are.

" God never wants us to do nothing, and doing nothing certainly is not the meaning of stand still. He wants us to refrain from relying on our own strength especially in the face of problems. He neither wants us to fight, freeze nor flee. He wants us to call on Him with confident assurance of victory and begin to praise Him even in the face of the problems. When we praise Him He will inhabit our praises. Then He will fight our battles for us. And we know that when God fights our battles for us… we shall be victorious, because our God is omnipotent."
