Habakkuk 2:2, The Vison... "Write It Down."

I need to write down the specifics of what I hear from God. The specifics keep me from settling for less or being deceived by things that look kind of-sort of-like what I expect God to cause me to receive or achieve. What is our vision, our dream, or our goal? We have to write down the specifics.  If we examined the life of the prophet Elisha in 2 Kings 2:8-14, Elijah asked Elisha what he wanted. Elisha did not say "However you want to bless me." He was specific. He did not just want any anointing. He wanted the same anointing that was upon Elijah. He was also specific about the amount. He said he wanted a double portion. If we compare the number of the recorded miracles performed by Elijah and Elisha, Elisha performed twice as much. Even his death was not enough to stop his last miracle from coming to pass as his bones brought someone back to life. Don't settle for less that what God has spoken to you!

Elijah told Elisha that his request for a double-portion of his spirit was a difficult thing. Not because it is difficult for God to give but because of the steps of preparation necessary to handle it. Elijah said Elisha had to stick with his endeavor until he saw Elijah go up. Elijah designated reference points and land marks along the way so Elisha could see measurable progress. At Gilgal, Bethel, Jericho, and Jordan, Elijah gave Elisha the option of stopping his pursuit of what He was believing God for. At each of these points, there were other people that refused to go further. However, Elisha knew that at each landmark, he was making measurable progress. What we have to do is break our vision, dream, plan, or goal down into several small tasks. Each task becomes another rung on the climb to success. Every now and then, instead of looking at how far away your goals seem, look and how many tasks you have completed.

Numbers 23:19 says if God if said it, He will do it. If He has spoken it, He will make it good. If it is based on a promise, a principle, and a precedence in the Bible... It is Attainable!

1 Kings 13 contains an eye-opening story about a young man identified only as “a man of God.” Without knowing his name, we learn everything we need to know about him in a single verse: “Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel” (13:1, NLT).
This verse gets my heart pumping. Here’s someone who obtained a sure word from God—something pure and unadorned, real and truthful— and it was meant to pierce the hearts of a people who’d fallen into a lax, lukewarm condition.
How many of us could be identified the same way this man was—as simply a “man of God”? Could our neighbors look at us and say, “There goes someone who’s different. She’s not caught up in the things the rest of us are. When I talk to her, there’s a solidness about what she says and how she says it. You can tell she knows something of God.”
The unnamed “man of God” in Scripture was all this and more. He was set apart for God’s purposes, and he clearly disentangled himself from worldly things to know God’s ways. That alone qualified him to stand before a nation and a king and preach God’s truth.

Since Oct. 30, 2020, Bishop Michael Torney, has given us a mandate from the throne of God to place in our hearts and spirit,“ It is time for thee, Lord, to work.“- Psalms 119 verse 126...it is time for him to work, that is, we have come to the point if God doesn't step in we are done; to come to a complete end.“ It is time (for us) to do (something), since we have burn our bridges,” We should arouse ourselves to efforts to stay in the tide of wickedness, because HE is strong.-Isaiah 59:19
The good Bishop uses the symbolic feeling of getting your Payday candy bar as our reward of waking up out of our sleep of not realizing that the Lord fights for us, this is a time when love is waxen cold, and there is no faith in the earth; and when the days are like those of Noah and Lot, Luke 17:26;"it is time to do the will of the Lord.”
