MS, is very humbling...I always think about those in the same condition, adults and children with special needs. Over time we lose some kind of mobility..could be feeding or clothing ourselves. It's very discouraging when one day you can do one thing and soon you can't.  The spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him ... And he found a new jawbone of an ass and slew a thousand men therewith. Judges 15:14-15.The Lord showed me Samson's real strength, when the Lord's spirit came upon him, it's not his hair.All week, being bedridden now, I had been trying to pull up my upper body, to try and sit up in bed. Other times I could do it, so you an imagine the frustration I experienced. Even with all the attempts, we can't have one once of doubt that JESUS can deliver us. It was only when the present of the Lord showed up in Samson , when Samson went to hang out "in the top of the rock Etam", 3000 men of Judah came, tied him up and took him to the Philistines. When they delivered Samson "the Spirit of the Lord came upon him" and he broke the ropes and killed 1000 men with the jawbone of an ass.

 Just like Elijah, having a great victory with God, defeating the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel. Fire had descended from heaven, the people of Israel acknowledged the Lord, and the false prophets were all put to death,with one sentence Elijah is now on the run. 1 King 19 verse 4. Samson was thirsty after the killing, so God made water come out of the same jawbone so that Samson could get a drink. And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and ... God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again. Judges 15:18-19

Often we say; we want to be about God’s purpose for our lives. I think most of us truly believe that until our flesh gets in the way. God created each of us to be about a specific purpose. You will know your purpose because every time you speak about it or even think about it, your passion becomes excited. But letting go and letting God is not such an easy habit to break. This is where prayer comes in. Prayer changes more than things. It changes us! Burn your bridges behind you, saying, “I will write that letter,” or “I will pay that debt”; and then do it! Make it irrevocable. We have to take the initiative where we are, not where we have not yet been.

To me Samson's story, is a redeemer's story. When he got capture and they cut his hair and poked out his eyes, Then the Philistines seized him, and brought him down to Gaza, where he was bound with bronze shackles and forced to grind grain in the prison. Then Samson's,hair on his head began to grow back after it had been shaved.…Judges 16:21 When he felt the stub start to grow, Samson's confidence must have came back, then when his hair grew neck length he prayed. He had time to remember how his own lust had before blinded him.

The good BISHOP text me a profound message about "The Lake of Fire". This took me to Revelation 20 verse 10, first the devil had to be thrown in then "The Lake of Fire" death and Hades, following the unbelievers into "The Lake of Fire". What I didn't know was, us being physically dead is the first death and the second death, is the condition of our souls that continues to live even if we don't except the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saver. When we die we first go through the process of our own bacteria eating away our liver, heart, kidneys, etc. then we decompose .Two species closely linked with decomposition are blowflies and flesh flies (and their larvae). Cadavers give off a foul, sickly-sweet odor, made up of a complex cocktail of volatile compounds which changes as decomposition progresses. Blowflies detect the smell using specialized receptors on their antennae, then land on the cadaver and lay their eggs in orifices and open wounds. This is a metaphor of how sin spiritually decomposes our being.

The Lord had shined a light on Samson's words...He was very thirsty, and called on the LORD, and said, “You have given this great deliverance into the hand of your servant: and now shall I die of thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?” {Jud 15:18}We have this time in the living to except HIM as our deliver, My dear friends, We do not care to know it. It is enough for me to know that, if God has accomplished for his servants so great a deliverance as he has done, the present difficulty is only like Samson’s thirst, and I am sure he will not let us die of faintness, we have this time in our physical to know him and to know HE died for us.
