Dear God......2014

Dear God,

I'm here again remembering how good you have been to me all year long. Through the good and the bad you always carry me each step of the way.In my heart Lord I feel we don't Thank You enough, we always looking for the gift first and not the gifted, which is you. Reading through scripture I notice you always gave Thanks first before the miracles. As the son of man on earth, Jesus, you gave Thanks to the father above.

No doubt that your faith was directly related to his thanksgiving. In John 6 you did the miraculous feeding of the five thousand.I notice you did not pray before the miracle. You simply gave thanks to the Father. Your thanksgiving led to an immediate miracle that provided food enough to feed the multitude.

And at the tomb of Lazarus (John 11) you commanded that they roll the stone away. Then you lifted up your eyes and said "Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me". What, expression of faith in the Father's power, and your subsequent command "Lazarus, come forth!" triggered off one of the greatest miracles. Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days!

Then, in Luke 17 we come across the story of the ten lepers who came to you for healing. All were healed, but only one of them returned to give thanks "and with a loud voice glorified God". You, told to him "Arise, go thy way; thy faith has made thee whole". This is an interesting incident, because although all ten were healed physically, something extra happened to this one leper. You, said he was made whole, in effect, you were telling him that he was also brought into a right relationship with God . He had received more than just physical healing!

Jesus you are our example..you believed without a doubt that these miracles would take place. If we really want what we are praying for, then we, like you,Jesus, must thank God, first and believe that we already have it (Mark 11:24).

Yours.. with all my Heart,

your son Dave
