“Can this be Naomi?”

This morning the Lord lead me to the first chapter in the book of Ruth...and as I was reading the Lord stop me in my tracks on verse 19- So the two women went on until they came to Bethlehem. When they arrived in Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them, and the women exclaimed, “Can this be Naomi?” The Lord asked me, do you know way the people didn't recognize Naomi? I said no Lord..When something or someone takes us away from the Lord, the spirit of the Lord can not be found. Naomi had been worn down from hardship and death in her family..the people who once knew her intimately with such faith were surprised to she her in this condition. She was so much broken and altered with her afflictions that they could scarcely believe their own eyes, nor think that this was the same person whom they had formerly seen, so fresh, and fair with the presents of God, this is what the Lord spoke to my heart...Naomi went out full; so she thought herself when she had her husband with her and two sons. Much of our fullness of our comfort relies on this world's views. But she now came home again empty, a widow and childless, and probably had sold her goods, and of all the effects she took with her brought home no more than the clothes on her back. So now how uncertain of fullness, 1 Sam. 2:5.The Message-Nothing and no one is holy like God, no rock mountain like our God.Don’t dare talk pretentiously— not a word of boasting, ever! For God knows what’s going on. He takes the measure of everything that happens. The weapons of the strong are smashed to pieces, while the weak are infused with fresh strength.
The well-fed are out begging in the streets for crusts, while the hungry are getting second helpings. The barren woman has a houseful of children, while the mother of many is bereft. The Lord says ..He that empties us of the world, knows how to fill us with Himself. Amen!
