The New Year!

I woke up this morning with the Lord, putting a word of wisdom on my heart. Someone is so busy that you may not have time to slow down and listen to what the Lord is trying to speak to your own heart about the up and coming new year. He will keep putting circumstances and situation in your life until you stop and listen to His voice. I'm feeling some one is so anxious, about what is going on in their life right now, they can barely breath. It's to much to handle..it making you so sick. I want you to be still right now..what ever is going on in your life can wait , until you become still and quiet. Get a lone and meditate on peace, I know being still is hard but you need it right now. Staying up all night ..not sleeping , worrying about every situation is not going to solve those problems. Being still in God’s presence, especially when we feel anxious, may seem difficult because sitting quietly without doing anything is counter-intuitive and counter-cultural. But in our silence, we can often hear God speaking (Ps. 46:10). And remember, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf and helps us in our time of weakness (Rom. 8:26). Peace be with you.

"We can under-gird our New Year’s resolutions with two verses. The first is James 4:13-15 – “… Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” The second Scripture is Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” From God’s perspective of you and me is much bigger than you and me. God sees you and He sees me as instruments and channels of blessings for others. He ministers to us in our place of need so that we may minister to others. He gives to us, so that we may give to others.Carefully read Nehemiah’s prayer and analyze his philosophy. His focus for confession and repentance was initially and effectively, though not exclusively on himself. His focus for blessing and prosperity was effectively on others, even to the exclusion of himself. In so doing he captured the mind of God. Nehemiah was able to claim the promise, “Ask, and ye shall receive…”, only because he asked according to the will of God.
“ Now this is the confidence we have before Him: Whenever we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked Him for.” (1 John 5:14-15)
May our 2021 find us resolving by the grace of God to daily discover and walk in the will of God. May our resolution be to fulfill our birthright to be channels of blessings, first to those of the household or faith, and then to those without. May we resolve to be beacons of light in a dark world that point to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. May we resolve to be messengers of comfort and repositories of empathy for a sick and hurting world. As God has freely given to us, may we freely give to others.
That is my New Year’s Resolution. What is yours?

All through each daily devotions I could reference the book of James in the Bible. In the book of James, James points out that our lives need a little “wind” if we are going to grow and mature. In fact, we are called to choose an attitude of joy in the face of life’s storms, trusting by faith that God is going to use them to help us grow. James says that the trials you and I face, whatever shape they take, test our faith. They are there to reveal whether or not we really believe the things we say we believe on Sunday mornings at church. Do we trust that God is good all the time? Do we really believe that His faithfulness is great and that His mercies are new every morning? Do we have the confidence that His faithfulness never fails and that He never bails on us when the storm clouds rise?
As your faith holds, strong perseverance—your ability to “hang in there”—enables you to stay faithful and steady in the face of the divine storm. And, as you patiently stay under the stress of the “wind,” God will make you “complete, not lacking anything.”
It’s the wind of life that stretches and presses the spiritual fibers of your heart to bring nourishment and vitality to your soul.
James says, “Whenever you face trials,” not “if you face trials.” The storms of life are a given. And while these storms can be heart-wrenching, terrifying, and truly, truly dark at times, I am encouraged and reassured from Scripture to know that these trials are not random. They are yet another way that God is helping us grow, flourish, and mature. And if we understand that, then we can choose, by faith in our Father, to welcome His perfecting storm.
What storms are we facing at the moment? What is God teaching us in the midst of the storm?
